your boat gently down the stream... merrily merrily merrily merrily life is but a dream..."

I find it humorous that this might be the child's rhyme that maynard was referring to in this song

"A child's rhyme stuck in my head
It said that life is but a dream..."

what do you think???

That has to be the rhyme he speaks of. I think thats a great line by the nard, as well.

"Life is but a Dream" really isn't a childrens rhyme like "Row Row Row Your Boat". So my guess is the latter, although now that I've written this down it appears to have no significance towards anything. HA!

"See we knew that as kids and we forgot it "Row, Row, row your boat gently down the stream, merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily LIFE IS BUT A DREAM!" but we forgot it....but I didn't." Bill Hicks

I'm guessing this is the inspiration for those lyrics
