When I listen to jimmy I get a mental picture of a little boy (maynard perhaps?) going through the seperation of his parents. I picture every time he says eleven, it shows where he is at 11 o'clock the next night during the week or so where jimmy's parents seperated. I'll break down why I think this.

What was it like to see
The face of your own stability
Suddenly look away
Leaving you with the dead and hopeless?

(This is jimmy talking to his mom or dad very sarchasticly about why it fell apart. They were too normal/stable and it lead to the death of the relationship.

Eleven and she was gone.
Eleven is when we waved good-bye.
Eleven is standing still,
Waiting for me to free him
By coming home.

(This shows me three images, jimmy in the car as his mom drives away, jimmy far away in a car waving goodbye, and jimmy standing still outside their new home, wishing he was with his dad)

Moving me with a sound.
Opening me within a gesture.
Drawing me down and in,
Showing me where it all began,
Eleven.

(I take this to be jimmy blaming his parents for trouble with relationships, because they showed him all wrong what it means to love someone. Or it could also be that he was explained to him that his parents relationship was horrible and doomed from the start)

It took so long to realize that
You hold the light that's been leading me back home.

(This shows me that he's been explained to why he doesn't want to live with his other parent, but it just makes him more sure)

Under a dead ohio sky,
Eleven has been and will be waiting,
Defending his light,
And wondering...
Where the hell have I been?
Sleeping, lost, and numb.
So glad that I have found you.
I am wide awake and heading home.

(He is standing outside possibly as a teenager, at 11 o'clock, it's overcast outside and he is amazed that he's been so dense as to not realize what's best for him.)

Hold your light,
Eleven.
Lead me through each gentle step by step
by inch by loaded memory.

(jimmy implies in this that if you (his parent) will help him, he can be normal again.)

I'll move to heal
As soon as pain allows so we can
Reunite and both move on together.

(after all that seperation hassle jimmy doesn't know how he feels about continuing a relationship with his parents, but maybe someday if he gets over the pain, he can.)

Hold your light,
Eleven. Lead me through each gentle step by step
By inch by loaded memory
'till one and one are one, eleven,
So glow, child, glow.

(he's saying how he's making a journey to reestablish the relationship with his parents.)

I'm heading back home.

Me and my friends came up with this theory while baked, but it remained valid when i sobered up so i posted it here. It definitely makes sense to me. Tell me what you think.
