Lateralus gives me the same answers to the universe as when I am on Nitros Oxide (NOS).
For me there are links between the song and the NOS experience that are very strong.
Having said that, and sounding like a drug fiend (which I am occasionally) in the process, I think Lateralus is a great way to approach life in general.
Reach out for the unknown, learn, fun, take something positive even when things seem dark.
