I have some things to say.

#1) FUCK YOU, MESHUGGAH. If you turn Tool into a heavy metal band, I'll kill all of you.

#2) FUCK YOU, NINE INCH NAILS. If your influence on Tool creeps into Tool's music, Tool will sell out with shitty techno electronica shit noises. Don't fuck up Tool.

#3) FUCK January 2006. That's too damn long for promo time.

Please don't die out, Tool. I am frightened.

Lateralus was a SUPERB album, but it was not in the correct direction.

I hope the new album is more towards sounding like AEnima. I LOVE Lateralus, but I know that any sequel to it in the same direction would turn out as boring shit.

I have strong opinions. I am not angry or trying to piss off anyone here. I am just very critical...

Aenima > Lateralus.

I don't think I have ever been so excited for anything as I am for this album, not even my nephew being born. I just really don't want to have to wait untill next year to hear it, I would be heartbroken if #3 was confirmed.

I agree. This is the first album I ever anticipated. I got into Tool in Summer 2003.

The only other album I ever anticipated was DT's Octavarium, and I was very disappointed with it...sounded like nu-metal....But it didn't kill me.

I have EXTREMELY HIGH expectations for Tool's next album...I am VERY EXCITED about it....and also nervous about the outcome. Tool is the only band that has yet to let me down. I hope they never do.

If that's true, IF!, then there might be a double album in the works......maybe.

If I remember correctly, in the January 2001 Newsletter(I think, I can't get into the Tool site at the moment to check)Blair said that the album was in the mixing stage and 3 months later it was released.

If this album is in the mixing stage and will be released in 2006 then there's a good 5 to 6 months to go on it.......double the time, double the discs???

In any case I'm aware that the first initial post could be bullshit, but from bullshit can grow mushrooms.................

August 2005 and January 2006:

Double album: Teleincision/Eleptheria, released in two parts because fans can't handle the package as one.

TOOL SUX. I'll be 27 by the time the world ends. I will not have enjoyed any new TOOL by then, because it won't be released by then.

Hey, What's wrong with being 27??

Anyway, which band member was the one in the chat? It seems strange to me that the guy who posted this size of news hadn't wrote who specifically was his source.

Can you give a link to the thread where that statement was made?

No he can't, he probably made the whole thing up!

I am getting tired of people just making stuff up and putting it in here just to mess with people.
This sound like one of those idiots that keeps saying the new album is going to be released on August 16th.

There actually was a band member on chat, it was Adam. August 4, midnight, Tool Army.

Don't know if any of the other things are true however...

Maynard was hysterical when I read some of his toolarmy-chat shit.
???: Maynard, do you eat food?
-Maynard-: ???, yes...I eat food, if you consider your sister food

I wonder how Adam and the others act in chats? And how do we know for sure its actually them every time, or ever?

As for the rumors on the first post, 1 makes me happy, 2 can potentially be very cool, and 3 would suck huge hairy balls.
If 2 means that its Meshuggah-esque heavy shit, I'm going to burn my Tool albums.

Easy disproof:

"Wednesday, August 3rd. Because he’s in the studio recording with Tool, understandably, Danny can’t promise to be there again, but I sure wouldn’t bet against it. Last night at the Baked Potato he joined JZ and some others for a lengthy version of “No Quarter”, so he still gets out at night…"
- Blair, 02 Aug 05

So obviously they are still recording.

Very interesting rumor. But because of #3 iI choose not to belive it. Dammit, can't they make a official statement. Like: new album will take another 5 month or something, just so you know!! I hate this rumor circus. Still cant help myself reading this shit.

All bands make claims about the next album being the heaviest shit you'll ever hear, but it never lives up to it when it actually comes out.

It's probably gonna be one of those albums where the first time you hear it you're like "WTF??" and then you force yourself to listen to it because your a helpless tool fan, and then on the 666th time, you love it and cannot stop listening to it.
