Here’s a post for those of you who live in Southern Kalifornia (especially you musicians) or for those who plan on visiting us sometime soon. From what was being discussed last night, it would appear that DANNY will be sitting in on a couple of songs with keyboardist extraordinaire SCOTT KINSEY (of Tribal Tech) and STEVE TAVAGLIONE (sax and EWI) on Wednesday, July 27th at the LA VE LEE jazz club in Studio City (12514 Ventura Blvd. 818-980-8158). Having seen these guys do their electric, eclectic fusion – actually I can’t even describe it, other than to say that it felt like I was sitting in the Star Wars Bar scene (only a hundred times more intense – truly mind-blowing stuff), this should put a smile on your face, and maybe even your girlfriend’s (and scare you both away from ever playing keyboards… or experimenting with sax… that’s sax).

Danny is also planning on doing a show with the PIGMY LOVE CIRCUS on August 6th , but I need to get more details about this PARTY (He’ll probably be coming directly from the studio [yes, TOOL] with just a pair of sticks , and playing someone else’s drums, but don’t worry, he can do this. In fact, I once saw him play a party at the loft in which he drummed for Green Jello, PLC, and Tool!). Then, on August 18th (drum roll, please) VOLTO! (Danny Carey, Kirk Covington, Lance Morrison and John Ziegler will be performing at the LA VE LEE (ah, the “twilight zone” table awaits… as does the morning after).

VOLTO! will also be playing THE BAKED POTATO (3787 Caguenga Blvd, West, Studio City – 818-980-1615) on August 25th . So, two VOLTO! shows in the same month at L.A.’s two best jazz clubs! (and friends they are). We hope to see you there!

It took tool 4 and a half years to release the vinyl version of lateralus after the cd had already been released. They work on their own time. August is out of the question.

Why exactly is that Tool's fault?I'm pretty sure Tool themselves don't make the plans when exactly the CDs/vinyls/DVDs come out.They only record the stuff,some other guys mix it or do whatever the fuck they do and then it's up to the record company as to when to release it.You can't blame it on Tool.

heres a little trick for ya guys and gals
