Yesterday, I went to Fnac, the biggest record store in Belgium www.fnac.be (as a proof that the store exists) and they had an August 15 release date for
Tool under: 'CD Release Dates' . I asked the guy behind the corner if it will be a DVD or a CD release and he said that they didn't receive information on that, he said that the only thing thats for sure is that there will be a new Tool release on that date + THEY DON'T SELL VINYL ! OMG i'm very excited, and guys, i'm not shitting with you, you have my word that this is what I saw !

ThePRP claims that the date is right and that this'll be the DVD. They also claim it's gonna be called 'teleincisions' but that i wouldn't be so sure of. I'm guessing the new album will come out somewhere around christmas, maybe in the late autumn. Cheers.

hmm for some reason i believe you.. however like someone mentioned before cd's arent released on Mondays. however, I think DVD's are released on mondays and fridays... hmm.. possible dvd date?

All DVDs are released on tuesdays as well, at least in the states.

Does it really matter? Personally I wonder why everyone is making such a big deal about the release date, I mean sure, I'm looking forward to it aswell, but plucking dates out of mid air and trying to decipher morse code messages is just a little too much don't ya think?

Be realistic, if you keep an eye on your local music store you're bound to get at LEAST a week's notice before the actual release date, so what's the big fuss? Just keep an eye on the store, or give them a call regularly or whatever, and you'll be guaranteed to be there the second it opens 'on the day'.

Keep your fucking cocks in your pants, it's a fucking CD for chrissake. It'll be released when it's released.

In the USA, CDs and DVDs are released on Tuesdays.
In Europe, they're released on Mondays.

The statistics of sales come out in Monday or something. It gives the new CD/Movie/etc. a whole week to monitor sales.

Just a thought, but all we have around here is Sam Goody, they nadda, never heard a thing . . . seriously doubt any release In August. Course this Sam Goody is the same store that could not order KMFDM's WWIII for me and made me drive to Colorado to get it. But the manager is GOD-AWEFULLY attractive though . . .

In Australia, wherever CD shops are open on a Sunday, new CD's are available on Sunday even though the release date is the Monday. Does this happen in the US and EU?

It's getting closer - we can't be far off a release date - we've managed to get the name of the producer - so piece by piece it will all come out.

Here (Finland) new albums are usually available on friday/saturday, although release date is monday/tuesday.
