i dont know, the whole "PEACE" as a greeting/closing bugs me. it demeans the word.

when you are greeting a person(or closing a meeting) and you use phrases like "hows it goin?" or "good morning" all you are really saing is "im alive and so are you"

when you ask someone hows it going, you dont really expect them to respong with "man, its pretty shitty, now im goignt o tell you all about how bad its going, so i can make you feel like shit too"

by using the word "peace" in this way, the word loses its meaning.

BIll Hicks was a stand-up comedian who's prime was in the late 80's and Early 90's. He tackled mostly issues dealing with the hypocrisy of america such as the shitty tastes in music at the time (Wham, Debbie Gibson [he's be having a field day today]). Unfortuanately BIll died of pancreatic cancer around the end of '93. He was a very insightful man, and actually continues to realease comedy albums today. I myself own Arizona Bay (AEnema's inspiration one might say), Dangerous, Relentless, and Flying Saucer Tour Vol. 1. If you look in the Undertow linear notes they actually list inspirations: and Bill Hicks I believe is the last one. Look at the Arizona bay album cover (if you can find it) and compare it to the painting... It pretty much resembles the painting (minus the creepy little freak boy who coincedently? resembles MJK).

If you want to get your hands on some Bill Hicks try using Kazaa. i personally have over 100 hicks mp3's plus his hbo special video. listening to him can open your eyes to the way the world works, and at the same time he is reeeeally funny. he is the model 46&2. he rose above the robotic everyday life of our culture and pried open(and squeegeed) his third eye. and after doing that, he decided to let people know that they can think to, they can rise above it all, if they would just realize its all just a ride. thats why its such a tragedy that he passed on, and why they call him "another dead hero."

if you havent ever listened to Bill Hicks, i *strongly* recommend it.

Actually a "how's it goin'" or "good morning" are just affirmations you make with another person to express that you are in a neutral state with them. This happens alot in everyone's day. There's excessive bullshit, no good exchange of information with another person, and plain old affirmations to say "We are ok, I am not at war with you."

I find it realisticly appealing when someone replies to my "how's it going?" by
being honest. Life isn't always the perfect pair of tits or a perfectly ripened fruit.
If someone replies "Life sucks" or "fuck off" who gives a shit. You never know
what you might learn from "listening" to someone elses life experiences, good
or bad. The reality of it is, the weather isn't fair all of the time. If you want
