Evening everyone.
I dont know if anyone has gotten a chance to, but if you do read "And The Ass Saw The Angel" by Nick Cave. Its really an amazing book.. (the book itself is out of U.S print, but I got it as a gift)
I really do believe that Maynard read the story because certain elements of Lateralus are linked to the story in such a way, that a coincidence seems unbelivable.
In the story, Cave refers to the main characters inspirations as a triangle.. ( A painting, a lock of hair, and his Guardian Angel).. The main character says he was surrounded by everything that makes him powerful... When I read this I immediately thought of "Triad"
There is also a line in the story about "picking scabs".. reference to 46 & 2... Cave uses the line as a metaphor for self examination... another coincidence?..
Has anyone else read this story?
Tell me what you think.
