you've got to remember folks...art is meant to be interpreted personally by everyone that reads, views, or listens to it. you should only think this song to be about the government if you yourself hate the government and dont want to take their bullshit anymore. if you feel this way about your bitch ex-girlfriend, then that's what its about for you. if you feel its about a friend, your drunken step-father...whatever the case may be, it is meant to be taken and applied to your life, how you feel, about whatever it is that your directing the song towards.

I Agree, music is a form of art and art should be interpreted by the individual. Whatever you get out of a song should connect to your life somehow. The most loved songs of any artist are the ones that can be adapted easily to a situation in anyone's life, but that's just what I think. I could be wrong, and knowing me I am. :)
