I think the music in this song is exceptionally cool. the "water" theme comes up lots in tool songs and the music brings on that kind of emotional aspect. seems like in this song its like calm waters but then something starts building up like waves and they are crashing into the shore then when it goes into the main riff of the song it feels to me like its someone running like theres a hurricane and the waves are crashing in from the sea and flooding the ground im running on
