The first song on The Wonderful and Frightening World Of The Fall by The Fall, "Lay Of The Land", sounds like it inspired the Lay's in AEnema. The subject matter of the song is similar also. The album came out in the mid 80s. It sounds like Maynard was just paying tribute to the band.

Was this already common knowledge?
