I'm drunk. And I'm sitting here wallowing in agony over some stupid girl I'm in love with that doesn't give a shit about the way I feel anymore. And I'm listening to Reflection. And Maynard is basically saying "fuck the world" and "there is still hope for the world" at the same time.
This song is the ultimate retrospective emotional drive. It's like "Crucify the ego...we are one mind; capable of all that's imagined and all conceivable. Let the light touch you, and let the words spill through...Before we pine away."
It's basically saying to me, "Fuck YOUR problems, pain is an illusion, get over it before you pine away."
Any time I need to wake up and remember that the world does continue on despite the potholes I hit once in a while, I throw this in and imagine me giving Maynard oral sex.
