I decided that it might be cool to start a thread where users can pose riddles, brain teasers, jokes, hidden messages, and cryptic meanings. That might be kind of cool. Im gonna start off with a joke/riddle and after people start posting their own opinions i will try and think of something really hard to figure out. So heres my first joke:

What's hairy and rough on the outside, but soft and wet on the inside, and starts with the letter 'c' and ends with the letter 't' and had the letter 'u' and 'n' in it?

I stole that joke from my cousin and im sure that he stole it from somebody else. The answer is not related to "see you auntie"

coconut?

I don't have a good question to continue the thread though. I'm going to have to think about it and come back. :)

Ok, I got a brain teaser for you. 4 questions. try to think as simply as possible:

How do you put a giraffe into a refrigerator?

How do you put an elephant into a refrigerator?

The Lion King is hosting an animal conference. All the animals attend, except one. Which animal does not attend?

There is a river you must cross, but it is inhabited by crocodiles. How do you manage it?

If you get this one just instant message me and please dont post the answer.

Initial arrival moderatly makes all responsible kept dead.

Only hint you get is: A line from Ænema will help.

Both of these posts have gotten me thinking, however I was wondering if I might be able to get some hints. Pretty please with sugar on top?

You have to answer each in order.
It tests wether or not you tend to do simple things in an overly complicated way, how well you can think through the repercussions of your actions, and your memory.

Hope that helps!

My monkey aches for your concern

45% of 100% stastitics are approximately 63% less accurate than 95% stastistics.
What is the least accurate stastic, 100%'s or 95%'s?
(that quite possibly has no answer.)

Oh my god, forget it, that's so stupid...

How do you put a giraffe into a refrigerator?
--You just put it in.

How do you put an elephant into a refrigerator?
--You take the giraffe out and put the elephant in the refrigerator.

The Lion King is hosting an animal conference. All the animals attend, except one. Which animal does not attend?
--The elephant is still in the refrigerator.

There is a river you must cross, but it is inhabited by crocodiles. How do you manage it?
--The crocodiles are at the meeting.

My friend actually asked me this before you did. His teacher in class had given it to them to have them figure out. First I was thinking you'd have to cut up the giraffe or something equally gruesome but when you said it was to see if you overthink things (a tragic problem I have), was thinking ok... just be very simple. Just put the giraffe in the frigie. After that you don't really have to think too much about it.

He said he was thinking about getting a really big fridge for the elephant then throwing it into the water to get across the river of croc fiends.

---------------

OK, I have another.

There is a farmer with a wolf, a chicken and a bag of corn. The farmer has a boat and has to cross the river, but only has room for one at a time (other than himself). How does he get everything across without one eating the other?

I am going under the assumption that the wolf will eat the chicken, the chicken will eat the corn. Obviously the corn will not eat either, and the wolf will NOT eat the corn...

Take the chicken across, come back. Grab the corn, bring it over and drop it off. pick up the chicken and bring it back. Drop off the chicken and take the wolf over leaving it with the corn. Come back, get the chicken and bring it over.

Riddle 1:
I am the genius of my kingdom.
I am the color of the sunless sky
Through desolate woods i call you
My eyes pierce your soul
Embers of coal
Never can you follow me.

Riddle 2:
I can steal your soul
I can blind you
I can keep you forever

no, actually I liked it. It was a little easy, but no one said they all had to be difficult. It made me think so it's all good. :)

i have to remember some others that I have heard, I use to know a bunch. I'm stilltrying to figure out this one;
"Initial arrival moderatly makes all responsible kept dead."

I've heard this one before, not quite sure if I ever knew the answer. But it's been killing me for two days now. LOL

Could it be Money? The answer for riddle two.
Now one to riddle one. I can't even think of one for that

Heres a riddle for you....
First think of the person who lives in disguise,
Who deals in secrets and tells naught but lies.
Next, tell me what's always the last thing to mend,
The middle of middle and end of the end?
And finally give me the sound often heard
During the search for a hard-to-find word.
Now string them together, and answer me this,
Which creature would you be unwilling to kiss?

1) What force and strength cannot get through,
I, with a gentle touch, can do.
And many in the street would stand,
Where I, not a friend, at hand.

--------------------------------------------------------

2) Only one colour, but not one size,
Stuck at the bottom, yet easily flies
Present in sun, but not in rain,
Doing no harm, and feeling no pain

What do you call the kind of cheese you don't own?

heres a question on the windows application thingie....

theres three switches in a room, all the way down the hallf from your room and around a whole bunch of corners is another room, in that room is a light bulb. there is no way you can see the room or any light coming from it from the first room. One of the three switches is connected to the lightbulb, you may only go ONCE to the other room, you have as much time as you wish. how do you find out which switch turns on the light, and i dont want any stupid answers, only logical things

Rice
01-31-2003, 06:08 PM
hmm...turn all of them on at the same time.

or....when you're finally in the room, you summon the spirit of the man who wired up the switches to the light bulb (assuming he's dead) and then you play his little Riddle Game and he finally tells you and you find out which switch goes to which light bulb.

okay, that was dumb.

sorry :)

Johnny Truant

m4yn4rd- turn on the left switch and leave it on for a minute. turn it off and turn the middle one on. if the bulb is lit, the middle switch turns it on. if it is warm, the left switch turns it on. if it is off and cool, then the right switch turns it on.
