alright im sure there is more to it...but immediately when i hear this song, as with many tool songs, i get a visual blast. and all i see are bright colors, optimism, looking ahead, pink yellow bright neon....no dark gloomy colors, and even in the lyrics:

the holy gift is obviously life....and taking the time to think about you being alive, not many people do. theyre always thinking what came before or whats going to happen after..not what theyre doing at that second..in the split second that they are alive. adam jones even said that when they were talking about the song they referred it to as the feeling you get when you go over a sand dune. embracing the moment, what youre living for. and probably one of my favorite lines ever is the "all this pain is an illusion" although youre living in the moment, dont let the anger, frustration get to you. youre still alive you have more to live for....
