I think this song is about himself. Now hear me out on this one. Throughout the whole Aenima tour this song followed 46 & 2. Now any of you that are familiar with Carl Jung. Our shadows is our fears and what-not. Jumping into your shadow is facing your fears. Now maybe one of Maynards fears is stagefright or that people wont listen to him. I think we all fear alienation a bit. So eulogy is a nightmare come true for him. But he faces is fear every concert. Of course nowadays he doesnt have to worry about it. We all love him but in that past im sure he was scared as hell.
