Past expressed
In regrets and guilt
Looking to the future
With pessimistic blinders
Trying to change
Is reprogramming your mind
Means re-living your past
Change seems impossible
The past altered, formed
Made me who i am today
To remove the blinders
I'll need more than a positive outlook
I need permission
To change everything I've been told
With no figure in sight
To say it's ok
Can I destroy what the past has done?
I think not
But I can learn, and grow
And maybe even start over again
