Its been said that sweat is pertaining to a drug-induced-like dream-state which makes sense and is a possibility. I think that sweat is about two people who are together but they dont relate. The narrator and other character just arent meshing and this creates a silence. and as hard as the narrator tries he/she cant get the other character to higher ground. so in essence the character is sweating and breathing and staring and thinking due to the non-communication happening. he is sinking just like the other character because he doesnt have much of a choice. he's home. which brings us to hush............
