I suggest that a seperate Part of "Breaking News" be made into a section exlcusive for members who have been banned in order from most recent -> downwards, and make it so no one can post new threads, and a new one is made by admins when someone else is banned, with a link to the offensive post etc.

then we can rant and talk about it and its always in the same place... instead of the most popluar members gettin a sitcky in breaking news and the others go unnoticed...

You know. I like the way this board is set up. I do not like the stickys about banned members. It's... dull. I really don't want to change anything about this board. I just want the mods/admins to stop with the posting about banning. I don't care really. But it's always in breaking news and RB and Discussion.

Here's a thought....you (being Dan) just create an Annoucement (that only mods/admins can post in) at the top of the Breaking News section and keep a list of names who have been banned, and a short explanation of why or a link to the thread explaining why. It's a simple, yet effective tool for accomplishing several things. First of all, it would do what Brightwell described as letting people know what is accepted and what isn't. Second, it would give the current users an idea of who has been banned (...I've lost count, and personally, I'd like to know exactly who got the boot). Not to mention it would be a lot less space-consuming than the perpetual sticky threads.

...Just a suggestion.
