Angel of Death

If you're goin to cut me down
Why don't you cut my throat
Let the blood run down my neck
If I die do you think anyone will give a shit

When my limp corpse falls to the floor
I want you to walk out the door
Your going to subcumb to the fear
As you walk down that lonely road I shall be near

Listen to your heart beating
You're getting colder cause the room isn't heating
With my last breath I shall say
"You'll die to someday"

You have the noose around your neck
You stand there cryin
Do you think I give a shit
You gave it your best, now give it the your rest
and step of the chair

Different styles for different people. When I look at a poem, I do not look for attempts to be clever or creative - I look for emotion and expression. Because that is what poetry is really all about, no?

Yes. The majority of Nine Inch Nails' (or should I say Trent Reznor's) work is not exactly what one would call happy. Particularly "The Downard Spiral". I swear, that album is a suicidal person's feelings in a nut-shell. Very angry and depressing at times, but powerful all the same. "Finding beauty in the dissonance." I say. I remember back when suicidal feelings and depression plagued my life endlessly for years, and I would always turn to that album to relate. Always coming back to that record time and time again, because, in a sense, that record was my life put to music. And even still, as I am recovering and realizing who I am, the Downward Spiral is a very personal record to me.

Well, I think I've gotten off subject here a tad, but that should give you a taste of what most of NIN's music is. I suggest you check out some of NIN's work. It's very good. Judging by your poetry, Angel of Death, I imagine it would appeal to you.
