At this point I could go on about what a God I think Justin Chancellor is, but I won't until another time, right now I'm interested in finding out what kind of strings he uses so if anyone can help me out ...

I´m pretty sure that he uses ERNIE BALLS (as I do), but I don´t know the type.

I don't use EBs as they have too flat of tone for my amp.

I also use Hybrid Slinkies and I don´t think that they´re bad strings. I always use them and there is no reason for me to choose another brand.

it doesn't matter what kind of strings he uses...unless you have the brand of bass he uses...i think it's WAL....? you won't achieve his tone...it's sad really, his tone is the shit

he uses musicman basses doesn't he? at least that's what i've been lead to believe .. so it would make sense he uses ernie ball strings, but i didn't know what guage etc ...

and yeah his tone owns. no doubt. i'd give anything to break into his house and spend a couple of hours with his gear :)

I use Elixir strings on my bass. They rock my rocks.
