and you know... that if you had no liver and got drunk, you would remain drunk forever (well, for a fucking long time!)... (also if you had no liver you would die). i thought maybe this song is incorporating this idea or concept in a very remote manner. think about it, maybe maynard is saying, "why the fuck do we have livers? it sobers me up!!!"
