This album is a little more difficult to decide, as it is be far the best one they have made (IMO). I like the sound from Aenima, but Laterlu(i?)s is much better... I also like "Faaip de Oiad" ...but then again, I like the little weird stuff they put in their albums.

For some reason... I can never really get into Triad when I listen to D/R first... Triad is like the ONLY song on the whole album that I listen to alone... Its almost like, its disconnected from the rest of the album.. It is awesome though.

Eon Blue is so soothing, and is a great transition between the Grudge's loud ending and the soft Patient.

Reflection seems to be the majority of the #1's here....but for lots of people here their least favorite Tool song would be better than any other song of any other band.

I hope TOOL makes a completely original album for their next release.

If they wrote more like Lateralus...that would meen that they have read there press...they know what people like...they would sell out in a heart beat if they did that.

TOOL should stay completely original. Nobody should enfluence what TOOL writes.

For the record, i don't like it when people trash schism just because it was on the radio a lot. It is still a masterpiece.

Also note that with Disposition and Triad, the D-R-T flow of songs becomes probably one of my favorite Tool pieces.

1. D/R/T - The most incredible musical composition I have heard since Third Eye.

2. Lateralus - Especially amazing performances by Maynard and Adam.

3. The Grudge - So perfectly expresses anger through music and excellently narrarated.

4. The Patient - Beautiful transition from calm to heavy and back again.

5. Schism - The lyrics give me the chills every time I listen to it and the music perfectly expresses the emotion behind them.


Parabol(a) is good too ;)
