Can anyone recomend a good program for recording acoustic guitars? I wan't to record two separate guitars so it has to have some kind of multitracking function.

I haven't done much recording before so if anyone could give me some tips and pointers it would be much appreciated. I just want a clean acoustic sound and i'm probably using a nylon sting guitar. I don't yet know what kind of microphone i'll be using.

Danke schön.

What has been working for me after trying a bunch of different ones. I've been using Sonic Foundry Sound Forge to record one single stereo track and then another. Then I would combine both in Sonic Foundry Acid for a mutitrack mixing, Acid can than take drum loops or sound effects also and add other things to a recording. But I will try Vegas too, thanx for the heads up.

Krystal audio engine, www.kreatives.org, it owns, and get a cheap condenser mic for recording aucoustic guitar. and ad alittle small room reverb to the tracks to make it sound better.

I always thought steel string acoustics sounded heaps better, both in sound and in recording quality - but hey that's just me. Shure 57's.
