My interpretation of Ænema:
Some say the end is near.
Some say we'll see armageddon soon.
I certainly hope we will.
I sure could use a vacation from this
Everyone can speculate about Earth being wiped out. Maynard is looking forward to it because it would cleanse the Earth. He could use a "vacation" from all of the fakes on Earth.
