Before both of the shows I saw on the Lateralus tour, Before the intro music even starts (and it goes on for a while) the grids (matrix) appear on the side screens.
Now, I have heard that before any dimensional shift, a new grid has to be completed for the energy to exist on that plane, or that dimension. Apparently the new grid is almost complete, if not completed already. That's the first thing I thought of, that maybe they were saying the grid is completed and what you are about to witness is above this plane we have existed on for so long.
