No need to feel ashamed. Keep up the good work. I liked the teeth on the first sketch.
Are you in Art school?

The one with the spiraling "rooms" is really great. I had a vision like that for a picture once, but not with a spiraling effect... that really makes it interesting i think. The last one with the person and the skeleton i think is genius. An artistic genius i think is someone who is able to portray a feeling within someone else that they never knew how to express before... if that makes sense. But that last one definately strikes a deep chord. Post more if you get a chance to.

Really great stuff, or it could be just that I'm a sucker for good pencil drawings.

But still, awesome work on those.

These are the best pencil drawings i've seen so far on this site.

I also am in love with the oil painting (it is an oil painting isnt it?)

The only link that worked for me was the artpage one, but FOR FUCKS SAKE can you please post them all seperately, they take soooooo long to download on my 56k.

For your sake and for my sanity can you post them seperately on the tdn link for art, you are too twisted a fuck for people not to see these images.

You rock dude!!!

:)

i understand your desire to seek praise. in the visual arts it is our only applause and most often it turns to boos in an independent setting. The thing is if you seek praise you are focusing too much energy on "the grudge." energy that could be spent thinking, creating or expressing. The way i see it (which may be completely wrong) as an artist one must keep searching and creating, keep evolving the ideas, expanding everything from vision or idea.
Praise is not fuel but only dampens the fire. However "flame" as you put it is another story. :-)

As for your art, i really enjoyed "headlikea." (i believe that is what the actual .jpg filename is titled. The webbing is done masterfully and the detail between the webbing is quite striking. However i see it as being unfinished, much potential with the other "cells" to do more than just human likenesses. your subject matter is nice but lacks the profound imagery that i seek in visual art. hopefully you see this as constructive to your work.

I think that the "headlikea.jpg" was influenced by NIN song entitled "Head Like a Hole" ...which was the first thing that came to my mind with I saw that picture and read the title of it. Yes, this is very excellent work, I like the one entitled "Mirror". I saw it and thought, "What an interesting perspective."

I don't have any pencil art uploaded right now. *boo hoo* But I want to get my scanner working so I can share it with you, I can share my Computer graphics with you, but I'm limited in my talents at that, it being a new thing to get used to and all.

I rate this thread best for the art.

you have really badass concepts man!.. one thing that i GOTTA tell you, from one artist to another, is that you need to stop using that 'smudging' method of shading. graphite has certain qualities that is very pleasing to the eye... glimmering... alost translucent shine... but when you smudge like that to shade youre just whiping away the graphite's brilliance. im urging you to start doing the conventional method of shading... no smudging... just likr coloring in... it takes more practice to get down and it takes longer, but the end product is moch more brilliant and much more appealing... also, use should use different pencil weights... it seems like youre using plain ol' HB pencils (number 2) it would be very wise to get maybe a 4B a 2B an HB a 2H and a 6H... that would help you out a lot.... keep drawing!!!! youre shits gonna be badass as you progress

P.S. people, please comment on pictures as much as you can... we dont need praise so much as feedback... in fact, id rather a person nit-pick the fuck out of my drawings than to say... its cool... cause that usually leaves me with a sense of... youre full of shit... i wonder what that guy was trying to hide.... (but not as exaggerated)
