I just got my first electric guitar today...and I'm looking for some kind of (free...I'm a cheap bastard...and I got no money left now) recording software...just something I can mix a few tracks in and maybe mess around with some eq settings...windows sound recorder just doesn't cut it anymore...any decent ones to download out there?

for those of you interested my guitar is a black epiphone les paul standard...and my amp is a marshall 30dfx...and they sound pretty darn good for my first electric guitar....I have a few dodgy photos from a webcam...I may post them later...

thanks

Pirate cool edit pro.

Or if you don't pirate, download loop recorder off of www.downloads.com

Decent beginning setup. How long have you been playing?

Good guitar. Better than standard.

Amp is a little dodgy, but it'll work.

Does the amp have a line out?

I downloaded Cool Edit Pro off of KaZaA, try eMule, or some other such program.

yeah the amp has a line out...it's kinda just to keep me going for a few months...I'm in new zealand at the moment and lugging a hundred watter on the plane back home to australia wasn;t really going to work out...but I'm happy with it...the guitar I'll keep for a while though...it's an awesome guitar...and now aenema sounds decent (as opposed to on acoustic with all those hammer ons)

surely there is a pirated version of Vegas floating on the web. Or SoundForge which you can use to plug into Fruity Loops.
