recording equipment question

i'm thinking about buying the cheapest digital or analog recorder i can find. i am very into 'bad quality' recordings, i like the way crappy recordings sound. so i'm not looking for a perfect or studio quality recorder. Just something I could maybe hook up to a cd burner, or a computer. I don't know shit about all this, I just use a microphone on a stereo to record music right now. Any suggestions?

I'd recommend doing this all on a computer. Those stand-alone workstations (ie, Roland VS-880) usually have miniscule LCD displays and convoluted menus. Something like M-Audio's MobilePre USB would give you two channels of i/o which should suffice for craptacular recordings, or decent recordings.
