I heard her song Rock the Boat, and it reminded me of Lateralus and Stinkfist alot, like the lyrics are similar in a way, its very subtle but its about thinking deeper and pushing the envelope and challenging yourself in new ways. but more intruiging is the odd time signatures. the songs on her last album follow a mathematical sequence (122,223,334,445,556,667,655,544,433,322,221, but on the actual cd its mixed up like a puzzle as 4,45, 122,2,23,3,34,5,56,667,655,433,322,221,544). how the sequence works, is that for example the first track is based off of a riff in 4/4 time, so this is 4. then the second track is 9/4 time, so its 4+5. Track 3 is in 5/4, so its 1+2+2. get this? and there are all sorts of polyrhythms. "What If", which is her most "metal" song, uses lots of poly-meters such as juxtaposing 5/4 percussion against a 7/4 guitar riff (and check out the drum solo in her song "I Refuse", this reminds me of 46&2). it sounds sort of like a heavier King Crimson, if you are into really progressive music, this is your stuff no doubt.
