this might be a repeat thread but what is he whispering in eulogy? I have heard some live versions and the only part i can make out is "you remind me of..."

yeah, its been asked many times, in fact, I was probably one of them. But here is what one site has suggested, but it could be wrong:

You could be the one to save me from my own existence

I was so sure that I'd sin and you'd pay too

(alternate lyrics have been performed live)
I was not sorry, I died, you paid too

(alternate lyrics have been performed live)
I cured your self denial, now you'd sin, I'd pay too

I'm just glad you knew me enough to allow me to always sit by you
So mad since you stopped giving all your commands
You weren't too mad when he called you
Your mind is helpless

Yeah, standing above the crowd
He had a voice that was strong and loud..........

Take care,
Andy

maynard has a way of chaning the lyrics live to better set the mood of the atmosphere or his own feelings at the time. this is somthing you must relize about him. he is not trying to keep it the same he has a message and he will spread it at all means

l could have sworn the last part before "Standing above the crowd..." was "Oh what an influence."
