anyone have any comments on the gnx3 digitech processor? i'm looking at it and it looks pretty sweet, especially the 8-track recorder. any comments on whether or not it's worth the $400 they're asking for it?

Yeah, that looks like about 400 bucks worth of equipment, if not more... though, I've known a lot of people who aren't too fond of the overall sound of digitech processors, so that should be taken into consideration.

As with any piece of equipment, you're much better off trying it first, and comparing it to other possibilities... for example this (http://www.zzounds.com/item--ZOMGFX8) or this (http://www.zzounds.com/item--BOSGT6).

The sound quality on this (http://www.zzounds.com/item--BOSGT6) is better than the digitech. COSM based effects are much better for recording and the distortions are 10x better.
