So the red/black pointy things that grow out of the characters in the video...
Some have daid that they are arteries, among other things, but I've recently found out that they are actually a Parasitic type of fungus called Cordyceps.
They are nasty little things that grow on Spiders and other Arthropods, killing them in an excruciating way.
