Rabbits eat carrots. They must to survive. Deny them their carrots; they will die. In this way, life is sustaining itself by feeding off other life. Reverend Maynard from the opening speech suggested that the rabbits find another way to survive. But, as actual Maynard says shortly after, Life feeds on life... and that is necessary.

In many ways we deny this ourselves. Like finality, it is simply too harsh or too blunt for us accept. We want to believe there is another way, a way to be independent. But, once again, "Life feeds on life." And that is necessary.

Disgustipated was always one of my favorites. The story (account?) in the beginning is captivating.
