Another New Song

I've just whipped up this little number this morning.

I'd been trying for a while to capture a heavy feel to a song, and in this recording, I've closer than I previously had. I have trouble achieving the heavy feel by not actually having bass, so I'm trying making up for it by twanging the guitar strings.

The "bass" kinda muddies up the whole thing and is also much louder than the guitar - so much so that I can't really hear what the guitar's doing. For conceptualizing, I'd recommend recording along with a click track, and then cutting out a loopable section of either guitar or "bass" or both, and then use those as a foundation and re-record later as necessary.

A good song, but could be better. Like elevate mentioned, you might want to even out the bass with the guitar. That and a little more variation, and you'd have a kickass song.
