this song seems to contradict the message's of acceptance and unconditional love that appear in their later work.

the way maynard wishes death on the subject, is chilling. it makes me feel extraordinarily uncomfortable.

i understand that sometimes art can be grotesque- this song seems to have no positive message in it whatsoever. i actually skip this song when i play undertow.

lyrically (for it is the lyrics that i am interpreting), the song has no redeeming aspect to it. it is entirely negative, and entirely nasty.

as stated in my post i didnt really read deeply into the lyrics and i do agree with you that it is very dark and can even see what youve interperated and even somewhat agree with it the song itself is actually my favorite of this particular album so obviously i never skip it however i am also not some dark brooding animal i take each album seperately and listen to it all the way through and view (listen) to each album for its own conceptual flow
