Another term for borderline is bipolar. The North Pole. The South Pole.
Or shall I say, South Hole?
Maynard, I doubt, completely overlooked the fisting-imagery connection when he wrote Stinkfist. Even if he did simply use a poor choice of words, I'm almost certain that after around the 40th or 50th time singing those lyrics some type of revelation would heavily hint to his naiive mind the embarassing reality that he had made an accidental fornication-reference.
And even if the harsh reality somehow still managed to go completely over his head and miss its mark entirely, I am pretty sure that Adam, Danny, or Justin would notice it as it shoved itself through the air and at least wait until the song was over before breaking the news to Maynard.

i wouldnt have a hard time believing that this went through mjk's mind while writing the lyrics. and as your post reveals, the wordplay is just overkill. it was amusing at the beginning (centipede/sanity), but now its just not fun anymore, becoming borderline stupid.
