on the way home from my gf's house tonight i was thinking that since opiate seems to have a religious tone to it. part of me could possibly have something to do with adam and eve. i really havnt thought out how the whole song relates to adam and eve, but i do no, that eve was created from adam's rib. making her a part of adam. i really can't explain how the rest of the song would work out, but i believe the whole thing about "i know you better than i know myself", could come from before adam and eve at the fruit. before that they had no self realization, they saw themselves as one, which would mean, adam would know eve completely, because he was eve and eve was adam
