Ok, here's looking at Reflection as more of a bigger picture of humanity.

I have come curiously close to the end, now
Beneath my self-indulgent, pitiful hole --- I've come close to the end which was created by myself and my pity.

Defeated, I concede and

I may find peace within the emptiness, how pitiful --- About to give up...

A million light reflections pass over me
The source is bright and endless
She rescusitates the hopeless
Without her we are lifeless satellites drifting --- Alone we are lost and lifeless but as a whole human race, the source of light is bright and endless.

And as I pull my head out I am without one doubt
Don't wanna be down here serving my narcissism
I must crucify the ego before it's far too late
I pray the light lifts me out
--- Ego only creates selfishness and doesn't serve humanity any good.

i agree, and thats exactly why this is probably one of their best songs. it adresses a very large problem and describes exactly what would happen if humanity pulled its head out of its ass. up until now i had imagined this song to be about a single person, but your thought is making me look at this another way
