Our of all the songs written in the present day, I'd say Yes. Out of all of the songs Tool have written, No.

There are a couple lyricists who are just as good as Maynard, although their content is different. Vicarious actually has quite simple lyrics, and the statement that the song tries to get across may be thought provoking momentarily, but your average radio listener won't be paying much attention to the lyrics, nor will they care.

Those that are interested however, will find songs like H. and Lateralus more thought provoking in terms of lyrical content, imo.

I love the Edit feature that comes with your TDN happy meal.

I believe that this song is very thought provoking because its about the state of the world, living vicariously blah blah....but I agree with Esurient4Truth that songs like H, Lateralus, and I'll add reflection are more thought provoking songs.

I think that every Tool song is in some way shape or form thought provoking.

I don't think it's so provoking, i mean look at the other songs, that's a lot of more provoking content in them ! but i have to admit that the first time i heard Vicarious i was a little confused, "i need to watch things die......"
