EUUUUUUU
PHOOOORRRR
IIIIIIIIIIII
AAAAAAAA

That section of Undertow is really, really heavy and powerful. I remember listening to this song high once, and when this part of the song came up it seemed like Maynard was singing for a minute on each syllable of Euphoria. There are moments this band has that are just mind-blowing, and this is one of them. Awesome song, awesome album.

but i do hear Euphoria. but he says something at the end of AAAAAA..

Yeah I never noticed he actually said Euphoria until I listened to it last night after reading this. I'm not sure how I never noticed it...

Although take into consideration that Undertow is my least favorite song from that album and seldom do I listen to it.

It just never was that appealing to me. It's actually a close tie to the song "Flood" as my least favorite Tool songs ever.

It took me a while to love Undertow...but when I did like it, it saved me from lots of things.

It was my inspiration for something I wrote, really. I was on block, and then Undertow turned on, and it got me really psyched to start writing again.

Hahaha...
I get it.
>.<

I think you guys know I love Flood...it was actually the first song I heard on that album, and the words were amazing.

I'll love that song forever, guys.

I just find that it goes on forever with no general purpose and by the time it does start up I've already lost interest in the album or have already moved on to other things. I pretend Undertow ends with 4 degrees.

Well, there's like, three our four minutes of the same riff with Maynard sort of moaning back there...and then it moves on with the actual song.

Aside from the beginning, the song isn't all that long, really.

Yeah its the beginning that makes me tune it out. It's not even an interesting riff.

I like Danny's part on that song.
The riff's sort of there, but it's got a good beat.
It's just a long prelude to the song.

Simply because of the EEEEUUUUPPPPHHHHOOOORRRRRIIIIIIAAAAA section in Undertow, it's my favorite song on the album.
