He did that in MTL too when he came and for me it just clears out some possible meanings of the song.

It highlights the fact that TOOL chose us. They want to pass us some of their views and values.

The message is your own intrepretation...nothing more. I also thought this song wasnt about the lyrics so much as it was bout the music... but thats how i feel, so you know to each is his own or w/e
