This is what was sent to radio. This isn't commercially available.

Well, "Vicarious" it is. Oh, don't worry, you'l find it on ebay in a few weeks/months, like every other promo. Too bad Tool doesn't release singles anymore... only "prison sex" and "sober"... all the others were promos with no extra tracks whatsoever....

No, they said that the single would be sent via Internet first, on the 17th, and followed by a cd format promo a few days or weeks later.
MrVinnie77 how did you get access to it? They did already sent it to radio stations? Did you listen to it?

Of course it's in physical form... oh, and Schism and Parabola DVD's don't actually count... although I wouldn't mind they could release similar items in the future =)

We've been on the air with it since 7AM. As I've mentioned in a few other threads, I'm the music director of a modern rock/alternative station in Pittsburgh.
I've finally decided it's time to pull the curtain back a little bit and provide some of the info I receive to you all. I've been lurking on this board off & on for a few years.
You are correct about the digital delivery first, then the hard copy. The hard copy arrived around 11:30am EST; a full 4+ hours after the digital delivery.

Dunno. I've been told from the start that we'd get the MP3 access first immediately followed by a CD later in the day. That's how we've received the new records from Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and other, less notable artists.

Tool is certainly going to great lengths to pull off the Vicarious hoax. Actually, Perseensilma is right, but he doesn't realize the extent of the hoax. The truth is: Tool is a hoax, there is no such band. It's all fake. Every bit of it. All of the albums, all the concerts, even APC are all an elaborate hoax to make you believe that there is some guy named Maynard who sings for a band named Tool. Man, they got me good.

gosh! I can't believe how people are still thinking that it's a whole hoax now that they have real pics of real packaging. personally, i still think that there's a chance that Vicarious might be just a promotional single (ie, not found on the album) and that the album might be somewhat different.
However, i don't doubt the authenticity of Vicarious. It IS real -- what it IS (promo single, album track, etc) still remains to be seen until May 2nd, but I'm not arguing that vicarious isn't real.

Have you seen some of the fake artwork on ToolCollecter? Some of it looks pretty decent, with a full colo ur booklet and everything. This doesn't even have that. Apart from the word "Vicarious" i think most of this artwork has been readily available on the internet. It is plausible that it's a fake, keep an open mind.

I know it's not real so I'm not worried... Alex Grey would never do art like that seriously. And my gender is not important? oh and how come Tool have two logos on the site at the moment? There are so many clues.

I don't think anyone was disputing 10, 000 days as the title. Clear as day that will be the title, i've seen it in shops aswell. Its everything else i think we're questioning.
Woah, Vicarious is on the radio now... hehe. Well I never.
