Amuse and amaze yourself with this. ( It´s something totally new about the coverart)

Well, here´s something to amuse and amaze you. I will write these instructions in steps, so don´t read it all at once, if you dont want to spoil it before you try this on your own. But I´llsuggest you to read this whole thing even if youhave "solved the puzzle", to see how far I could take it.And I´m sorry if my English is fucked up at some points.

Well here goes:

Step 1:

Take that black slip covering the actual album package and turn it around so
you can see the track listing. Now take the inner sleeve and open it up, so you can see the man with the pentagram stuck in his throat. Use only this and the following page, fold back the last page (Bottleopenerpage, so it wont distract you.)
I prefer these two pages on for certain reasons. Next you´ll have to put the inner sleeve on the top of the tracklistblackslipthingee. Now as you´re beginning to position the inner sleeve to thecorrect position, remember to keep the inner sleeve page´s edges and the black slip´s edges parallel (this does not mean
that the inner sleeve edges should be on top of the black slip edges, they´ll just have to be parallel). Now youshould make the man´s tip of the nose touch the little quadrangle which is followed by a text:Triad.

Step 2:
With this positioning hold the slip and the sleeve against a light. Now you can see through the man.

Step 3:
If you´ve done the positioning as I did it and told you to do, then you can see certain things. You´ll see certain lines coming out from certain positions of the man´s face.

Step 4:

Faaip de oiad-line is coming from the mouth. (notice the pentagram)
Reflection-line is connected into the eye of the man. (I personally think that eye has a lot to do with reflections)
The little Disposition-X is in a small cavity (?) in the man´s forehead.
Lateralus is connected to the brain. (Thinking, thinking)

Step 5:
And now look on the top of the man´s head. There is something.

Step 6:
Reminds me of a crown. Keter? Or the crown of negativity?

Step 7:
Turn the page.

Step 8:
Definitely Keter. But on the other hand Ticks & Leeches are pretty close to the crown. Maybe it is the crown of negativity.

Now I´ll have a little extra fun for you.

Now that you have positioned the man so the GOD is crowned. Well there´s more crowns. Now flip the sleeve around so that you see the GOD from end to beginning "DOG", GOD as a mirror image, you know. Now above the crown that we found last time, you can see another crown. Now position the "DOG" in the exact same manner as you did with the GOD(The crown a little inside his skull.
If youve done this correctly, youll see a line connected to the man´s mouth. This aint no ordinary line. Well, youll, find out the rest.

Re: Amuse and amaze yourself with this. ( It´s something totally new about the coverart)

Thanks for the response. I have to admit that I think this is coincidental, or the band puts a lot of effort into their covers. Or maybe its a divine intervention. Either way, it was an amusing experience for me, when I admired the cover art and noticed a tiny little thing and let the light shine through. When I took it further, I had this funny feeling: pieces fit. I wanted to share this feeling with you.
I´m glad if you had good time with this.

And dont be afraid, you wont burst my bubbles, or anything. It doesnt matter is there thought or not. The fact that maybe this amuses someone matters.

Niiiiiice.

I wouldnt be surprised if it turns out to be intentional by the band.
Some of their lyrics are so deep...

How did you figure this out?

Re: Amuse and amaze yourself with this. ( It´s something totally new about the coverart)

Well, it was an accident. I was just admiring the art ( have you ever noticed how cool looking it is when you hold against light the whole cover with the black slip on, but without a cd?) then I had this idea of putting the inner sleeve on the top of the black slip. I`ve read about faaip de oiad here on toolshed, and had this idea of mixing the mouth with the song title. It took me away. Ive read about Keter and stuff also here in toolshed. Little placing and choosing best pages and voila, I had something to write you about. That was also a cool opportunity to train my English. The "extra fun" was just some fooling around, so the line from the man´s mouth would go into the studio where Maynard recorded his lyrics.

Actually just now I am not doing anything for my living. I m right in the middle of my matriculation examination aka final tests. Then I´m going to try to get into film school, but I probably wont get there. But I have time to find my path through this life, since I´m eighteen.

Man in Blackie, its your problem that you waste your time. I dont force anyone to read anything. So saying things like "you just made me waste ten minutes of my life" is really stupid because you made yourself waste your nonworthy time. I am not responsible of your actions.

I was trying this and I tried just going from the Crown on the God step to the last page and if you notice the circle of light in the middle of the red cross highlights the "Me" just another little extra thing, you might have already explained this and I just did it wrong but if not hey! another thing to try! Weeee

Word, and the crown on the top of the head is probably the Crown Chakra...

Since I don't own Lateralus (shut the fuck up, I'm poor), I don't know how many of these crowns or whatever else there are, but if there's seven it's probably the seven (or 12 if there's 12, there's supposed to be 12 chakras, 7 inside the physical body and five outside, supposed to be hard to activate/realize, though..)

God, I wanna buy it bad now.

Ok, above the first "crown" we used, you can see another. It is below "ATT", "ATT", "ON" "circuit"-thingies. (Right from LATERALUS´s S). Now take out the page that has GOD written in the brain. Turn it around. Now you see a reversed GOD , "DOG". Now take the DOG-guy and position him in the same way you positioned in the step 1, step 2, step, 3...-part, but on the upper crown. Now there is aline coming from a certain studio and it is coming in that guys mouth. The studio is where Maynard recorded his lyrics.
