I'm stoked. Second TOOL show ever. I was tore up when I read about the tour, because I knew there was no way they'd ever come to Reno. Then I went on Ticket Bastard and saw the Reno date and about shit myself. Good times.
So just wanted to see how many people are staying the night? We should try and grab drinks somewhere pre show and or after. Saturday night made this show so much better for me. I'm booked at the Circus Circus. Crazy to think the show is less than a month!
Parabol> Parabola is the only bet I'm taking up there. Say a beer anyone?
I'm only 20 so I'm not sure if I'll be going in any bars, but I'll be putting around town with a bottle. Hopefully I run into some TN/Fourtheye members.
you guyyyyyyssss, i am super fucking pissed at the way this tour was NOT announced. at least to me. why didn't they call me personally to give me a heads up?! now i have to end up paying a dick load of $$ to get my ticket. annnnnd, i am thinking of pulling an all night drive just to get there. i have to work until 3:55pm that day; then i am going to take my chances to haul ass up to Reno and make it before they go on stage by 9:00pm. i am totally fucking psychotic when it comes to matters of a slim ass chance of maybe hearing pushit live.

Looking forward to the show. So lucky that it is on a Saturday so I can drive from SF and spend the weekend in Reno. Does anyone know if there will be an opening band? On the Reno Event Center site, the poster says "an evening with Tool" which indicates no opening band with Tool playing "longer". I am reading rumblings of some band called Intronaut.

I'll keep an eye out for that ticket. Ive got nothing better to do in the two weeks leading up and will keep an eye on Ticketmaster for re re's. I'll be bringing some beers from the cellar and from back east. I'm sure to have a sour or two to share along with some others.

As we get closer we can put together an all ages meet up. There are several spots in the Silver Lgacy we can meet up.
I was just there for Santa Crawl and it was hella cold!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
also I'm looking for a single ticket for the show. My buddy got hosed by LN.
I want a ticket from a lovely, fellow Tool fan! But if worse comes to worse, I will have to succumb to a $calper. I will be traveling alone but we should arrange a pre-show drink, everyone.

If you google check for change there are websites that will send you e mail notices to your smart phone and or email when a page changes. I think it will work now with the Reno event because of the interactive seating chart. If one of those dots go live what ever check for change style program you use should send out the email. I've not used it but I know people have for other hard to get tickets. Plus this being sold out means it's over bought. Tickets will be around once it gets closer to show time and people that bought tickets for friends and such start backing out of going.
Taking the train up from San Francisco on Friday and Returning on Monday. Staying at the Sands Regency Hotel. Nice that the venue, train station and hotel are all right there downtown, will make the trip easy. No need to pay for any taxi's. Going be a great time, glad I was able to get a floor ticket, since this sold out in a day or two.

I got to look into that, because if this is true, that is awesome. Shows always release more tickets, one just has to be lucky to check the site at the right time and snatch them. I've wished there were a better way, so I hope those site are legit.

The train takes 7 hours. Cool if one likes the scenery like I do. There is only one a day, otherwise one would have to take the train to Sacramento then take a shuttle bus to Reno, which would take even longer. Took a Greyhound Bus to see a show in Reno once, it's really cheap but I would not recommend that at all. They have horrible service, are always late, lots of dirty people and you can't even drink, the train sells drinks.
Hi everyone, I have 2 floor tickets available if anyone is still looking. I can't make it to Reno, so going to try to get Vegas tickets somehow. I'm not looking to profit from it, just hopefully get back what I paid. Thought I'd try here first before resorting to ebay.
The direct train to Reno is $60 each way on weekdays, $90 on weekends. It's $57 if you take a train to Sacramento then an Amtrack bus shuttle to Reno. It is about the same price on weekdays and weekends to do that. The train to Reno on Sat already sold out of seats, so I just booked to come up Friday. I don't know if prices will increase closer to the date or not, but that is what it was when I booked it.
Thats funny, I got my Southwest Tickets for $160 round trip. I am still hoping to drive, as long as there is no snow / ski traffic jams / Chain controls

Yeah, I went to a show in Reno in Dec. and it was full cold and full on snowing. The nice thing about having seats in the floor is that it's not a problem bringing big or multiple jackets, can just put them on the seats during the show. When it's a GA floor I don't don't bring in jackets that are too big, because it is a pain in the ass to wear or hold it the whole show.
Well Puscifer just added a San Francisco date, goes on sale this friday at 10am, when I will be on the train to Reno. Gotta see if it will have wireless internet on the train. Last show sold out in less that 2 hours. But I will be on my way to Tool, so I guess I have no reason to be bummed.
Found this picture of the inside. http://i.imgur.com/CccxL.jpg The room is a bit tighter feeling than the B.G. There really is not a bad seat in the house.

The El Dorado is right next to the venue and still had rooms as of late this afternoon.
