Melody is well known and oft-misused musical device. It's basically overused by the dumbest people (musicians). It's all about putting one note after another in some kind of pattern or something.

The origin of melody can be traced back to Scott Stapp, Christina Aguilera, etc..., the ties between religion and melodies are numerous and clear. They're essentially both for people who like to have their thinking done for them.

Collectively it is agreed that melody is in the year of, only like 10 or so bands use melody anymore, and they're all RIAA-endorsed bands.
