Early in 2007 a dear fellow by the name of Foamy created a thread requesting for members to push his thread to 10,000 posts. Mind you, this had been attempted before but failed. This Thread Took Off , literally. Within a week it was nearly completed.
black_rose made over 1,000 of the posts alone, Dianoetic also contributed a lot of posts to the thread.

There were only 40 or so posts left to go when everything turned to chaos. The thread was locked off and on (most likely by Paraflux) for a couple of hours. A poll was soon set up by P-Flux to vote on who should have the last post. Birthday boy whittashau won and the thread was re-opened for him. It's not quite clear what happened after this as certain posts started disappearing and people started complaining that the results were not fair. However it was later discovered that Hellboy1975 created the 10,000th post.
[edit] Thread Deletion & Spinoffs
Soon after this event the thread disappeared. Most poeple think it was deleted to save space. Quite a while later a new thread was created to make the same attempt but failed like the first. This thread is still brought up from time to time making it legendary.
