[edit] The Decoy Album

The decoy album released by TOOL in 2006. The album was Tool's way of proving the point that one must be a tool in order to listen to Tool. By releasing the worst possible album Tool showed music critics their musical talent as a band, and proved that hardcare fans everywhere wouldn't know the difference as long as it had the Tool label on the merchandise. With lyrics ranging from puns on Marijuana, allusions to angels, immature babble of monkeys and bed shitting, and references to old people enjoying Sunkist flavored Sudafed, the album was a monumental joke on the fans. 10,000 Days was just Tool shitting on its fans again, just as they have done countless times in the past, only this time over an entire album. Now everyone knows that Tool fans are immense tools and will buy into whatever bullshit Tool puts out. The real abum will be another fuck you to the hardcore fans, focusing more on loud noises, yelling, yelling at old people, yelling at women, yelling at children, grindcore, and Danny Carey, but will catalogue their skill and talent as a band once again and generate a new crowd willing to embrace this new sound from Tool.
