View Full Version : Has anyone else picked up on the eerie side of this song?

I really think the whammy effect of Justin's bass chords throughout the majority of the song, give it a really eerie organic quality at the same time. So far it seems everyone finds this song very soothing, as did I at first, until I really paid attention to that particular detail. Now I can't help but hear this strange aspect of it, that makes me feel somehow, unsettled. I do mostly agree with most of the lyrical interpretations I've read so far. I just wanted to see if that has the same effect on anyone else. Still my favorite song of all time. Peace out.

oh hell yeah. I used to think this song was eerie until I saw them perform it live in knoxville last november it was a sight...very serene....beautiful. now I see it in a whole different light, but ONLY because of the whole visual thing that's been burned into my memory :)

Well... Looks like I have something to do when I get home... Can't say I really payed attention to the bass riffs. And to think... I consider myself a bassman...

its pretty dark to me. Kinda brownish set on black. I love it so much too.
